An acronym for "New Experiences in Teaching", ExxonMobil supports a program to prepare new Ph.D. mathematicians for the challenge of the undergraduate classroom teaching, and is administered by the Mathematical Association of America (MAA).
NExT fellows complete a professional development program that gives them direct access to seasoned professionals and knowledge of current reform issues. Choosing about 75 fellows a year in a highly competitive process, NexT has developed a professional community, which now includes a group of 625 fellows from 380 universities.
