In the state of Wyoming, industry, government, environmental groups, educators and landowners are working together to solve issues surrounding the state permitting process for water-discharge permits. Anadarko is represented on Wyoming's DEQ Permitting Task Force. The nine-member group – representing a wide cross-section of interests – is charged with determining how the process for obtaining water-discharge permits for use on coalbed methane operations can be improved.
